My Skin Care Routine

Hellooooo everyone! Happy October! Spooky season (yay).
How are you all? What are you most looking forward to this month? Let me know in the comments.
It is my birthday this month. Halloween. Autumn. Ooo it all makes me so happy.

About a month ago when I did my August Monthly Favourites (please go check that out if you haven’t already), I said I’d give you an insight into my skincare routine. So, here it is.

I normally do my routine once a week becuase if I do it too often it makes my skin go really dry and then I start with exema. I do it on a night that I’ve washed my hair because then I just feel extra clean and fresh.

1. Do a facemask.

I got this for Christmas 2019. It is one of the best ones I have ever used. I used to prefer peel-off masks until I used this wash-off one. I don’t think I can ever go back. Its hydrating and so easy to take off. It only goes on for (insert time) but I normally keep it on just a little longer to make sure it pulls up all the grease and whatever else out of my pores. I 100% recommend.

2. Wash my face with my Clearisil Rapid Action Gel Wash.

Another 2019 Christmas present. I LOVE this stuff. It even made an appearance in my August Monthly favourite post and I’m STILL using it. It is hydrating and light. It smells quite stongly like cleaning products which could be a bit of a put off but I like it. After use, my skin feels really soft. Yet again, I 100% recommend.

3. In order to do no.2, I use an exfoliator.

Yet again, 2019 Christmas Present. I clearly was very into my skin care at the end of last year. Does this happen to every teenager? I use this with my face wash. I feel like it rubs it into my skin well and it feels like I’m getting a face massage. It kind of hurts and feels like I’m stripping a layer of my skin off, but, it’s really effective with pulling everything out of your pores (or as I like to say, giving me lots of spots).
For a teenager, I’d say that my skin is actually pretty clear. Maybe because I don’t wear make-up often.

4. Apply Aveeno Moisturiser.

I have been using this for about a year or two now and it’s the best moisturiser I have ever used. I mentioned this product in my September Favourites post (please go check that out if you haven’t already). As a sufferer of exema and I have quite sensitive skin, I struggle to find skin care products that don’t set of a reaction. I tried the Aveeno moisturiser as a trial really and realised it was actually very smooth and helpful. It isn’t even the sensitive skin one but I know you can get a sensitive skin one that is probably great also (if any of you have tried it, please let me know. I’d love to hear your thoughts).

And that is it. I hope you enjoyed. Please tell me what products you use becuase I would love to try something new.

Thank you for reading.
