Hello everyone!
Welcome to/back to my blog! I know I haven’t posted anything in around a year and I am sorry for that. The reason for this is because I have been lacking inspiration, had other stuff going on and am trying to focus on my school work and personal life for a little while.
How are you? How are you coping with lockdown? I’ve had the breakdown or two myself but I’m trying to keep busy with schoolwork or housework which is another reason why I wanted to get back into blogging.
Today I’m going to speak about the last holiday I had which was to Hammamet, Tunisia. This was my second holiday in Tunisia, back in August 2019. The hotel we stayed at is called The Delfino Beach and Spa hotel. It was beautiful. I went with my mum and my grandma and we all had a great time.
The hotel is beautiful. It had everything from a sports area to a spa (they give really good massages by the way), the beach which is part of the hotel (I think it was a private beach) and three pools. Our room was spacious enough for the three of us (two adults and a child – child covering up to 15) and were fabulously clean and tidy. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the path to the beach.

The bathroom was large with a huge mirror (it also had a hairdryer which was handy).
A funny story about the bathroom. On one of the days we had got back to the room after chilling by the pool all day. We were relaxing for a while before we got ready to go down for a meal and the evening entertainment. My grandma went into the bathroom and started screaming. It was honestly one of the funniest things I had ever seen. My mum and I were like ‘What’s wrong? Why are you screaming?’ It turns out there was a lizard/gecko/I don’t really know what is was, in the shower (haha who’d of thought). My mum went down and brought somebody from reception to remove it because non of us dared to touch it (haha). The man from reception eventually got it out of the shower and said, ‘I think it wanted a shower’ (hehe) we all couldn’t stop giggling after that.

While we were out there we usually sat by the pool everyday (we didn’t spend a day at the beach because there were to many flies… however the beach is stunning and so serene.)
My mum and I went down to the sea everyday, just for a little swim and experiece that warm and relaxing Mediterranean Sea. We went and did this just the two of us as it was a way to have some mother-daughter bonding time and just spend some time together doing something we both enjoy.
However, the last swim on one of our last days there, it wasn’t relaxing at all as the sea was a little rough and we swam in a different side to what we would usually swim in. I honestly thought I was going to drown as I’m not a strong swimmer (I would be useless as a fish) and I don’t really like the sea as it is (I only go in on holiday to get that holiday feeling and fully embrace the opportunities the place had to offer).
They have some of the most beautiful flowers in Tunisia (well they did in the hotel anyway).
One day we were sat next to these and I could hardly tear my eyes away from them.

Well that was my experience of Tunisia. I hope you enjoyed this and it gave you a surge of excitement for summer even during these sad and unsettling times.
Thank you for reading. Please follow and comment 🙂
Paige.
