Hello everybody! How has your March been? I hope it has seen you well.
I eventually went back to school this month, which I am happy about as I would rather learn in a classroom rather than online. Also, since I’m in my last year (Year 11), It’s nice to be able to spend the last few months I have at school actually with my friends and teachers. Have any of you gone back to school this month? How has it made you feel?

Again, I have been keeping up with my reading this month and I am already proud that I am sticking to my New Years Resolution of reading more books this year.
Here is what I have been reading.
DISCLAIMER: There may be spoilers.
1) ‘Call It What You Want’ by Brigid Kemmerer.

Rob had it all, but when his dad was caught embezzling dunds from half the town, everything changed. Now Rob’s the social pariah who lost everything – his friends, his status, even his family. Maegan was a typical overachiever until the pressure got to her last year. And now that her sister is pregnant, pretending to be a ‘perfect’ family might be too much to handle. When Rob and Maegan are paired together at school, they’re both reluctant to let down the walls they’ve built. But Rob’s plan to fix the damage caused by his father could ruin more than just their fragile new friendship…

I really enjoyed this book. However, it took me a couple of chapters to get into it but once I did I was completely immersed! A great book that tugs at your heart strings and really makes you question your morals. An up and down rollercoaster of rights and wrongs and secrets for both Maegan and Rob, the main characters. I 100% recommend reading this especially if you have also read ‘letters to the lost’ also by Brigid Kemmerer.
Rating: 5/5
2) ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ by J.K. Rowling.

Dark times have come to Hogwarts. After the Dementors’ attack on his cousin Dudley, Harry Potter knows that Voldemort will stop at nothing to find him. There are many who deny the Dark Lord’s return but Harry is not alone: a secret order gathers at grimmauld Place to fight against the Dark forces. Harry must allow Professor Snape to teach him how to protect himself from Voldemort’s savage assaults on his mind. But they are growing stronger by the day and Harry is running out of time…

Obviously I haven’t finished this book yet but it will be included at the start of my April reads!
3) ‘More Than We Can Tell’ by Brigid Kemmerer.

Every day Rev struggles with the memories and demons of the time before he was adopted. He’s always managed just fine, until a letter from his birthfather brings hellfire, fear and danger back into his life. Emma escapes her life in an online game she built herself. Virtual reality is so much easier than real life. But then another player joins the game and suddenly ultra-violent threats start to stream in… When Rev and Emma meet, they are fighting a darkness they can’t put into words. But somehow they hear each other and together they might be able to find a way out…

So, yes, I did read this whilst reading ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’ but I just felt like I needed a break. Also, I bought this book and just couldn’t wait to read it. Don’t you ever feel like that too?
I read this after reading ‘Letters to the Lost’ and I couldn’t wait to read more about Rev! I love how his story was spread out through the book so I could piece little bits together along the way. Same with Emma’s character. Did anyone else, who has read the book, think that Nightmare and Ethan were the same person? However, just like Emma, something about him made me trust him and I was shocked when I found out his age. I had a feeling he wasn’t a child but I didn’t realise he would be that much older! Brilliant book from start to finish! I could not put it down. 100% recommended.
